Sexual abuse and tampering has a lasting affect on every victim. In my opinion, how that plays itself out in the masculine world is often much, much more silently poisonous than in the lives of women. Our society seems to have a better openness or understanding of how to deal with sexual violence and damage in its female populace far more than it does that of their male counterparts. It’s late, I’m away on business, in a hotel room far from home, eating bruschetta and going over some notes for tomorrow.
I hate being away from home. I hate leaving my Menfolk. I’m homesick. Continue reading

Treat girls with great tenderness and respect their strength. Never sell out. Honour yourself. Honour others. Faith. Prayers. Strength of self and character. Laundry/cooking/driving tips. I know those things. Continue reading
I have faith that with each passing season, I will grow to be more and more the kind of person that I want to be. That I’m called to be. I am eternally grateful for those whose wisdom is greater than my own—who have perhaps seen more winters than I, or whose barometer is more steady, whose eyes are trained to some unseen spot on the horizon, whose interest in the changing seasons of my life is to enjoy them along side me, those who share their harvest in the lean years and allow me to share mine the same. The men in my world work hard, play hard and invest their all in their daily lives. It matters to me that they know that while they’re up to all that, someone cares about the fact that it’s kind of very nice to come home to dinner warming in the oven, something sweet to spoil their dinner with and that they are much-loved. (I also happen to like cookies, so it’s not all that selfless!) Continue reading
